HERO INGREDIENTS · FUNCTIONAL MUSHROOMS
Tremella (Snow Mushroom)
Nature’s hydration specialist. Tremella holds water at a microscopic level, delivering long-lasting moisture and a plump, supple appearance — lighter than hyaluronic acid, yet deeply effective.
Reishi
The mushroom of resilience. Reishi helps calm visible stress, supporting the skin barrier and restoring balance when skin is exposed to environmental pressure, fatigue, or travel-related strain.
Truffle
A rare, nutrient-dense mushroom prized for its revitalising properties. Truffle supports skin vitality and luminosity, delivering a refined, luxurious finish while helping protect against environmental stressors.
THE POWER OF FERMENTATION · PLANT INTELLIGENCE
Fermentation
A process that refines nature. Fermentation breaks plant and mushroom actives into smaller, more bioavailable molecules, allowing skin to absorb them more efficiently. The result is enhanced potency, improved stability, and formulas that work in harmony with the skin’s natural balance.
Enhanced Bioavailability
Through fermentation, beneficial compounds become more accessible to the skin. This means actives can deliver results with greater precision, while remaining gentle and supportive — ideal for daily use and sensitive, travel-stressed skin.
Skin Harmony
Fermented ingredients help support the skin’s natural microbiome, promoting balance, resilience, and a calm, healthy-looking complexion. Less disruption. More intelligent care.
Plant Intelligence
Plants respond to stress, adapt to their environment, and protect themselves — fermentation helps unlock this intelligence. By working with refined plant actives, skincare becomes more responsive, effective, and aligned with the skin’s own rhythms.
Frequently asked questions
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) and Tremella, also known as Snow Mushroom, are two of the most studied botanicals in modern skincare — and two of the oldest ingredients in recorded human use. We ferment them. That matters. Fermentation breaks down the cell wall, making bioactive compounds more available to skin than they'd ever be in raw extract form. The result is less "wellness trend", more precision delivery system. You're welcome to be sceptical. The formula will handle the rest.
Think of fermentation as unlocking a door that standard extraction leaves closed. Raw Reishi and Saccharomyces contain remarkable things — beta-glucans, polysaccharides, postbiotic compounds — but unfermented ingredients give skin far less to work with. Fermentation reduces particle size, generates new bioactive byproducts, and brings the whole formula closer to skin. It's why our Saccharomyces Ferment Filtrate sits near the top of the INCI, not as a footnote.
Most formulas are built around one hero ingredient wearing a cape. Ours are built around systems — fermented mushroom extracts working alongside ceramides, beta-glucans, Ectoin, Madecassoside, and Centella. Each element earns its place on the list. There is no 0.001% "active" added for marketing copy. If it's on the INCI, it's doing something. That's a design decision, not an accident.
Both. Neither exclusively. HOUBY was built for people whose schedules don't wait for a two-step morning ritual or a twelve-step evening wind-down. The Serum goes on. The Cream follows. The Mask when your skin asks for it. Morning flight, late-night deadline, two-hour sleep — the routine adapts. The products don't care what time it is.
Yours. HOUBY was formulated for skin that lives in the real world — not a controlled environment, not a dermatologist's waiting room. The ceramide complex, Allantoin, and Ectoin in the Cream were chosen because they play well across skin types without demanding you pick one from a dropdown. Sensitive, oily, dry, combination, "it depends on the season" — the ritual works. Your skin doesn't need a label to qualify.
